A former sufferer of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), I realized the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and overall lifestyle. Over 5 years I battled with the frustration of trial and error, extreme dieting and feeling self-conscious about my weight. I thought I was doing everything right -I cut out carbs, avoided wheat, ate less than 500 calories a day and exercised every day.
